Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage at Hawk Hill is a hands-on, targeted approach to working with pain, injury patterns and long-standing tension.

Sessions draw on deep tissue techniques, neuromuscular work and myofascial release, guided carefully by what your tissues are doing in the moment. Treatments may also include microcurrent or light therapies when these are likely to be supportive.

The intention is not simply to chase symptoms, but to work with underlying patterns — restoring movement, easing load through stressed areas, and helping the nervous system settle so change can hold.

What to expect

  • A short intake to discuss your symptoms, history and goals for the session.

  • Observation of posture, movement and habitual holding patterns.

  • Focused hands-on work to release tight or overloaded tissues and improve joint mobility.

  • Pressure adapted continuously to your comfort and feedback.

  • Simple suggestions for movement, hydration or rest where appropriate.

Who this can support

  • People with neck, shoulder or lower-back pain.

  • Those dealing with postural strain from work, sport or stress.

  • Clients recovering from injury or repetitive-strain patterns.

  • Anyone experiencing persistent muscular tension or restricted movement.

Session length

When booking, choose the time that suits your needs:

  • 60 minutes — focused work for a specific area or issue.

  • 90 minutes — deeper or more comprehensive treatment when several areas are involved.

Your treatment plan is shaped on the day.

Safety & suitability

All sessions are adapted to your health status. Recent surgery, acute injuries, infections, inflammatory flare-ups or circulatory conditions may require modification or medical clearance.

Pregnant clients receive pregnancy-safe techniques and positioning unless otherwise advised by their healthcare provider.

Booking suggestions

  • Long-standing patterns often respond best to a short series of treatments rather than a single session.

  • More recent strains or flare-ups may shift more quickly.

  • Please let me know if anything changes in your symptoms or comfort during the session.
