Bioptron Light Therapy
Bioptron Light Therapy at Hawk Hill uses polarised light applied to specific areas of the body to support tissue repair, circulation, inflammation reduction and nervous-system calming.
This therapy is non-invasive and does not involve heat or ultraviolet light. It is often integrated into bodywork sessions, but can also be used on its own when focused light support is appropriate.
In my own practice I have seen particularly strong responses in inflammatory skin conditions, and I have personally used this therapy to resolve a long-standing boil on my back through a short series of brief treatments over two weeks. Individual experiences vary, and sessions are always shaped around what feels appropriate for you.
What to expect
A brief conversation about the area to be treated and what you are hoping to support.
The light device positioned over specific points or tissues while you rest comfortably.
Treatments delivered in short, focused intervals.
Time to relax and integrate during and after the session.
Integration with hands-on work or other modalities when helpful.
Who this can support
People experiencing inflammatory skin concerns.
Those dealing with joint discomfort or localised pain.
Clients supporting wound healing or tissue repair (alongside medical care).
Anyone seeking a gentle, calming adjunct to bodywork.
Session length
When booking, choose the amount of time you would like:
60 minutes — focused light therapy or light combined with bodywork.
90 minutes — allows for broader treatment areas or integration with other modalities.
The treatment itself is tailored on the day.
Safety & suitability
Bioptron Light Therapy is adapted to your health status. Active infections, open wounds, recent procedures, or light sensitivities may require modification or postponement.
Pregnant clients receive pregnancy-safe positioning and approaches unless otherwise advised by their healthcare provider.
Booking suggestions
Skin and inflammatory patterns often respond best over a short series of sessions rather than a single visit.
Please let me know about sensitivities, recent treatments or any concerns before your appointment.
Communicate openly about comfort levels throughout the session.
