Tuning Fork Therapy

Tuning Fork Therapy at Hawk Hill uses sound vibration alongside hands-on work to support nervous-system regulation, relaxation and emotional release.

In many therapeutic traditions, tuning forks are also used to work with the body’s biofield — the subtle field of energy understood by some practitioners to surround and interact with the physical body. In this context, sound is used not only mechanically through vibration in tissue, but also to help release held or stagnant patterns in the surrounding field.

Sessions may involve placing forks on the body, near joints or muscles, or working gently in the space around the body, depending on what feels most appropriate in the moment. Tuning forks are often woven into larger bodywork sessions, but can also form the main focus when the nervous system is asking for something quieter and more subtle.

What to expect

  • A short conversation about what you are hoping to support in the session.

  • Explanation of how tuning forks may be used before treatment begins.

  • Integration with breath-guided touch or stillness where helpful.

  • Time to rest and re-orient at the end of the session.
